Two of the world’s most talented and respected golf course architects were selected to put their indelible marks on the San Antonio golf landscape: The iconic Pete Dye, considered by many the most influential golf course architect of the past five decades; and World Golf Hall of Fame member Greg Norman, whose experience playing many of the world’s greatest golf courses during his 30-year professional career – during which time he amassed 90 international victories and 20 PGA TOUR titles – helped to inspire his design of more than 70 outstanding golf courses on six continents.

TPC San Antonio is a model of environmentally sound methods and practices, beginning with two of the most well-planned, eco-friendly layouts ever conceived. The highlight of these layouts is a closed-loop irrigation system, which ensures the protection of the Edwards Aquifer and supports the TPC Network's vision of all courses designated as Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary Systems. TPC San Antonio was designed to take full advantage of the abundant natural resources, majestic trees and indigenous flora and fauna found throughout the property, including the adjacent 750-acre nature preserve and sanctuary for the protection of the Golden-Cheek Warbler.
